Wingstop was founded in 1994 and all its restaurants are decorated in 1930’s and 1940’s aviation themes. Although the chicken wing is usually not a favored part of the chicken, it soon became popular in Wingstop’s hands. It began franchising in 1997, after successfully creating a brand new niche in chicken dining. Wingstop was acquired by Gemini Investors in 2003 and later on was sold by it to Roark Capital Group in 2010. Today, Wingstop continues its success with over 600 locations in the US (31 states with 2 locations in New York), Mexican States (8 federal districts, Nuevo Leon in Monterrey and State of Mexico in Naucalpan).

The menu of the restaurant consists of boneless wings, wings with bones, boneless strips and “Chicken Glider” sandwich.

Side dishes are: vegetable sticks, potato salad, coleslaw, hot cheddar cheese, fries and baked beans.

There is also the following selection of sauces: blue cheese, honey mustards and ranch.

The variety of flavors is as followed: Teriyaki (least spicy), Hawaiian, Hickory Smoked Barbecue, Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, Mild, Louisiana Rub, Original hot, Cajun and the spiciest – Atomic.
